Presentations from past Ed Forums can be found\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/educational-forum-multimedia\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>I<\/strong><strong>WMF Educational Materials<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Publications\u00a0are written by medical professionals\u00a0cover many aspects of WM,\u00a0including medical and blood tests, diagnosis and treatment options. These publications are\u00a0directed to laypersons, and they are revised continually as our knowledge of WM advances.\u00a0 Download these publications directly from the IWMF website <a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/publications\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IWMF\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/videos-presentations\/\">Library<\/a> contains a wealth of information from presentations, publications, and webpages that\u00a0address WM biology and treatment.\u00a0Also included are selected video presentations from IWMF Educational Forums,\u00a0and access to information from International WM Workshops.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Quarterly Newsletter &#8211; the Torch<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The free newsletter, the <em>Torch<\/em>, is published quarterly and each issue keeps you informed\u00a0about the progress being made in the fight against WM, as well as research activities,\u00a0treatments, IWMF events and programs. \u00a0 The <em>Torch<\/em> can be viewed and printed directly <a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/iwmf-torch\/\">from\u00a0the IWMF web site<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/iwmf-connect-and-online-discussion-forums\/\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>IWMF- Connect and the online forums<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IWMF sponsors a friendly Internet-based group discussion forum\u00a0in English\u00a0called <strong>IWMF-Connect<\/strong>, where you can communicate with others, share experiences and insights, exchange information and get emotional support. \u00a0The discussions typically focus on WM diagnosis, treatments, research, prognosis, side effects and related conditions.\u00a0In addition, other important information is conveyed about patient advocacy, outreach to doctors, concerns of the newly diagnosed, information about IWMF\u2019s research and educational activities.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Members post their message or question to IWMF-Talk. These are then automatically distributed to all IWMF-Talk participants, via e-mail, usually within hours, if not minutes. Members can reply to the e-mail originator or to the entire IWMF-Connect list. There are typically 20-30 messages per day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">You can join IWMF-Connect by using the <a href=\"https:\/\/groups.io\/g\/iwmfconnect\">online form on this website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwmf.com\/get-support\/lifeline-and-one-one-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><strong>LIFELINE<\/strong><\/a><strong> and One-on-One Support<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IWMF LIFELINE can be found <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iwmf.com\/get-support\/lifeline-and-one-one-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/directory-of-wm-physicians\/\"><strong>Physicians Directory<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For many cancers early detection and treatment are important to one\u2019s survival. However, WM often offers patients the luxury of time \u2013 time to find a local haematologist-oncologist who can provide your on-going care; and if need be, time to get a consultation, as a second opinion, with an haematologist-oncologist who is an expert on WM. IWMF provides a Physician Directory. All the physicians including Australians in the IWMF have agreed to be included in the directory for consultation to patients, as well as other physicians.\u00a0\u00a0 The IWMF does not in any way endorse the individuals listed in the Physician Directory, nor does the IWMF verify their medical qualifications. Also, please note that it is impossible to list every physician\/researcher with extensive knowledge of WM in every country. The IWMF Physician Directory is intended to serve as a guide for WM patients and caregivers and for the medical professionals who treat them.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In Australia WMozzies does not publish a local directory. The Australian haematology profession prefers, for referrals, that haematologists and patients contact multidisciplinary haematology centres to identify a WM haematologist willing and able to provide a consultation for a patient with WM.\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.canrefer.org.au\/\">Cancer Referrals Network<\/a> provides referral information on cancer services In NSW and ACT including Multidisciplinary Centres offering Haematology consultations<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Patient Database<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Patient Database (PDB) is an Internet based database which contains the active medical history of participating WM patients to help them document and track their disease.\u00a0 The individual information in the database is available only to the individual patient who submits it.\u00a0 To use the database go to <a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/participate-in-patient-registries\/\">Participate in Patient Registries &#8211; IWMF<\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Stories of Hope<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The IWMF inspirational and candid <a href=\"https:\/\/iwmf.com\/stories-of-hope\/\">Stories of Hope <\/a>express in patients\u2019 and caregivers\u2019 own words how they have experienced living with Waldenstr\u00f6m\u2019s Macroglobulinemia and its effects on their health, career, family, and quality of life. The stories describe how they have met and overcome the challenges of WM, how their priorities have changed, and what they have learned.
